TRIAD Contributes to “All Glammed Up” Event

Once a year, Dress for Success Columbus hosts a special sale of fashions generously donated to their agency that are not considered interview or workplace appropriate.

Dress for Success is an international non-profit organization devoted to improving the well being of women. The mission at Dress for Success Columbus is to promote economic independence of disadvantaged women in Central Ohio by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to aid in their ability to thrive inside and outside workplace.

TRIAD decided to get involved in this amazing cause by placing a drop box in our office to help collect items such as designer denim, evening and resort attire, fun footwear and accessories to be sold at the Dress for Success “All Glammed Up” event.

Many bargain-savvy fashionistas attended the event on November 12, 2009, in Columbus, Ohio’s Short North. The pieces sold were new or gently worn… all were in great condition! The turnout was excellent and 100% of the proceeds from the event went to benefiting disadvantaged women striving to achieve self-sufficiency.

Not only was the event full of fun, stylish clothing and accessories, it also had delicious hors d’oeuvres, Little Black Dress Wines tasting and a fabulous “swag bag” filled with glamorous goodies for everyone! Outside of the event’s doors was a mock up of a Red Carpet event where everyone who attended got to strike a pose and get their picture taken in front of a “Little Black Dress Wines” display.

All in all, the event was very successful, fun for everyone and for a wonderful cause!
