Okay… maybe it isn’t. But in this edition of the TriAd Video Vault, we’re celebrating t-shirt weather with two 1978 commercials. The first features the defunct Columbus car dealership, ‘Daryl Sanders Cadillac’, and a complex ‘melting snow’ animation that would rival any effect produced by Industrial Light & Magic. The second commercial features Easter flowers from ‘Maple Lee’, which is still in business today as ‘Connells Maple Lee’. What is disconcerting about this commercial, is that it contains a group of violent birds pacing around the floral arrangements, ready to pounce on and maim anyone who approaches them.
Actually, they’re just a group of adorable little baby ducks. Happy Spring!
