TriAd Honored with Telly Awards

TriAd's 2013 Telly Awards

This year, TriAd was recognized for outstanding achievements in video production with the receipt of two Telly Awards. The Telly Awards is a national competition to honor the finest in film, video, web and television productions. More than 12,000 entries are received annually from all 50 states and 5 continents, with past winners such as NBC Universal, ESPN International, Microsoft and The Walt Disney Company.

TriAd’s first statuette was awarded in the Internet/Online Video – Documentary category, for ‘9/11: Healing Through Remembrance’. This riveting video, from TriAd producer Bob Dawson, follows the story of Leatrice Guttentag, a former employee in the World Trade Center’s North Tower who narrowly escaped after it was struck by American Airlines Flight 11 on September 11, 2001. Her story of terror, courage, and the healing that followed is both moving and inspiring. In the Internet/Online Programs – Charitable/Not-for-profit category, TriAd was awarded a second Telly for its production of ‘Extreme Makeover Home Edition: Behind the Scenes with P&D Builders”. When the popular ABC series came to Columbus, OH, to build a deserving family a new house, TriAd was there to document the home’s construction and its contractor, P&D Builders of Delaware, OH. This video follows the exciting and emotional ride of building a 4,000 square-foot home in just 106 hours, all while under the eye of a national television audience. Besides winning a Telly Award, this production also received a 2012 Building Industry Association of Central Ohio (BIA) MAME award for Exceptional Digital Media Campaign.

TriAd’s Telly Awards are currently on display at TriAd’s headquarters in Westerville, OH. Each statuette is nearly 12 inches tall, weighs more than 4 1/2 pounds, and was designed by the same firm that makes the Oscar and Emmy awards. Each Telly is custom-engraved to highlight TriAd and its winning productions.
